This tutorial is designed to help you to format your dissertation quickly and easily using some of the features offered by Microsoft Word. Everything here is available in all versions of Word from v2010 - v2016 including MACs.
All of the formatting in these sections is taken from a School of Humanities dissertation style guide. It is not an exhaustive University of Gloucestershire style guide, so you must consult your own school or course dissertation guide or ask your dissertation tutor for clarification if you are unsure.
The library holds digitised online copies of dissertations from all of the schools and faculties. These are all available for you to view if you would like to see successfully formatted examples.

**If you are using an older version of Word or Pages for Mac, you may find that some of the menus and options are slightly different.
